MH Crisis Breathing Space Referral for AMHP Evidence

This form is only for use when an Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) is required to produce evidence that a person is receiving mental health crisis treatment so that an application can be made for the Mental Health Crisis Breathing Space debt respite scheme.

The mental health crisis breathing space (MHCBS) is for an individual receiving mental health crisis treatment, to help them manage problem debt by halting enforcement action from creditors and freezing interest and charges. These protections will end 30 days after their mental health crisis treatment ends.

To be eligible for the MHCBS a person must be resident in England and receiving mental health crisis treatment.
